Privacy Policy

TextePal is a text message service that helps parents find kids' activities. It is operated by SiteloopAI LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you text TextePal and how we use it.

What we collect

• Your mobile phone number.
• The messages you send us and the replies we send you.
• Details you choose to share, such as your town, your children's ages, and the activities they like. We do not ask for children's names, and you do not need to share them.
• Basic delivery information from our messaging provider, such as the time a message was sent and whether it was delivered.
• Link taps. Links in our texts go through textepal.com (for example textepal.com/r/abc123) and then open the program's own page. We record that the link was tapped and when.

How we use it

• To answer your requests and remember your preferences so you do not have to repeat them.
• To keep the service working, prevent abuse, and improve the quality of answers.
• To send you texts you asked for. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.
• To count how many families tap our links, so we can improve TextePal and show program providers how many families we sent them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share it only with service providers that help us run TextePal, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Twilio, to send and receive text messages.
• Google (Gemini), to understand your request and read public provider websites.
• Supabase and Cloudflare, to store data and run our servers.

When we tell a program provider how many families we sent them, we share totals only (for example, "85 families tapped your signup link this month"), never your name, phone number or messages.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Children

TextePal is for parents and guardians who are 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Information about a child, such as an age or interest, is provided by the parent to get better suggestions.

How long we keep it

We keep your messages and preferences while you use TextePal. If you reply STOP, we stop texting you. To have your data deleted, email support@siteloopai.com from any address and include your phone number. We will delete it within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.

Security

Your data is stored with access limited to our servers and is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not text sensitive information such as passwords, payment details or medical information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
